This Custom Shop LTD '64 Stratocaster in Tangerine is a real stunner. The NOS (New Old Stock) Flash Coat finish is one of the standout features here. Fender’s Flash Coat Lacquer is incredibly thin, allowing the guitar to breathe and resonate more freely compared to modern, thicker finishes. Over time, this finish will wear in beautifully, giving the guitar a natural patina that will age with you as you play. Plus, it’s great for players who love the feel of a worn-in guitar but want something fresh and new to break in themselves.
 
The hand-wound '64 pickups, paired with the Fat '64 bridge pickup, offer everything from smooth, glassy cleans to gritty blues tones. You can dial in that quintessential Strat quack, but when you push the Fat '64 in the bridge, you get extra bite and fullness, making this guitar incredibly versatile. Ben spent some time with this one, and he was really impressed by how balanced the tone is across the board. He mentioned that the combination of the pickups and the resonance of the Flash Coat body gives it a lively, responsive feel that makes every note sing.
 
The '63 Strat Style "C" neck is super comfortable—whether you’re laying down chords or flying through solos, it feels like it was made to fit right in your hand. Overall, this guitar blends vintage styling with modern performance in the best way possible.

Brand new from Fender’s Custom Shop, this guitar is in perfect condition, just as you’d expect. The NOS finish gives it that fresh-off-the-workbench look, but with the added bonus of knowing it will naturally wear in as you play. The electronics, hardware, and overall build are flawless, making this a prime example of Fender’s top-tier craftsmanship.
